Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

*sigh* Too stressed to eat; very angry at things going on right now. My hands are doing this weird thing they do when I'm hungry.

Only when I fell asleep in my cookbook from working hard did anybody bother offering to feed me.

I want that karma-zen people keep telling me I'm owed.

I stress-starve. Fan.tas.tic. I wish I stress ate. Well. You know what I mean. Sorry.

Don't you forget, I started in September officially (lost steam & stumbled through the holiday and gained where I was forced to lose again). Some people here have lost and gain for months before and through out. I think we're really ALL trying to discover that little nitch on how we're going to finally start losing, but in a way that we are confortable and we can stick with.

The best part is, that everyone who is trying is still here because they aren't quitters! That makes me so proud of this group!!!

And you will do it, I know you will.... because you are sticking it out and always trying something new to work for you. So when it all finally starts to work, you will stick with it and most likely keep the weight off. That's more important then when you are losing and how much you are losing.

I've only lost 1 jean sz up until recently when I finally moved one more. I'm having issues losing weight in the tummy area. I swear my breasts have shrunk because my bras have to be tightened and my pants sag in the butt!

That is my biggest complaint... because those are things I really did not want to shrink.

(Or at least my husband didn't!)

I'm back. I've been having a hard time because my weight has been climbing. I can't seem to keep the food away from my mouth. I'm back down a little, and I'm working out a lot. Next week is spring break, which means more eating out, so I'm trying to stay on track now.

I have started rebuilding my pond, and all the digging, rock hauling and visits to the pond shop are helping. Our local pound shop is lovely, soothing and good for the soul. I keep having to go back because my engineering and hydrology skills are lacking. I must look at the examples lots of times to understand how to duplicate the results. But the store has probably ten ponds, too many fountains to count, waterfalls and streams, fish and a helpful staff. These people are wonderful and the sound of running water is everywhere. The whole process of building the pond, gathering the materials, planning the plantings and the fish and visiting the pond shop relaxes me, and helps me focus on other things.

Last time I visited home I realized why I like the sound of running water so much. In Southeast Alaska, you are seldom out of sight or hearing of water. Either there is the drip of rain from the trees or the babble of a little stream or the soft shushing of waves. If you are outside in Southeast Alaska, there is water. I think my sub-conscience was programmed at an early age for the sound of water. I'll be glad when my pond is running again.

All of you are doing so well. I'm looking forward to the day that I get to go down a size. I'm impressed by how sane everyone here is about weight loss (or EB's gain).

EB, don't let the stress make you crazy. Have some berries or healthy snacks just around to grab when it gets to much to eat real food. It will give you energy to sustain yourself, and actually make the stress easier to deal with.

Vfem....I have the same issue, boobs are smaller, hips are smaller, stomach is the same. With the hips and boobs smaller, I actually look fatter with that danged dunlap (as in the belly done lap over the belt). So not fair.

Wow, I'm kinda long winded today. Must mean I have to work out harder.

Yep. Belly comes first and goes last. I can finally fit into my "target" jeans (the ones I'm aiming for) but I've got some serious muffintop going on. Agree with others that once the weather clears up, and I can bike more, I should be able to take off some of the padding...

I found time to dig a new garden bed today... that better count towards exercise for the day!!!??? LOL
