Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

Hi everyone! I've been out of commission with the flu all week. I've never been so sick. Next year I'll inconvenience myself and get the flu shot.

You'd think I would have lost a ton of weight being sick for an entire week. Well, I'm back down to my lowest since starting this but I think all the saltine crackers and pineapple juice I drank to keep my strength up also kept me from losing too much. No complaints because losing weight like that never stays off anyhow. I'm still not 100% but wanted to check in.

I dewormed my chickens and haven't been able to eat their eggs for weeks now. Starting tomorrow I hope to be back on track, eating lots of eggs for a low calorie source of protein, and get myself going again.

YAY!!

Kaussandra for dropping another pound!! Slow and steady is the way to go. Good for you!!

I'm going back down again, and actually have finally gone over the 10 pound mark. A week from tomorrow I have another blood draw for a full lipid profile. I hope I have managed to keep the total numbers down and get the ratios where they should be. All the exercise should be good for that at least.

Everyone is doing so well. I'm impressed with all of you!

Hi all! I'm heading to the 'gain' side of things right now. Too many people over yesterday and it was just BBQ and grilling craziness. Making pasta sides & serving up quick chips & treats for the kids. It was nice after a disaster to see the people you worried about for so long. Feed everyone, talk.... and then find yourself stuffing your face just because! lol

I do a lot of garden repair & walking cleaning up yard debri.... but I don't think it was enough to make up for the eating!

We had a wonder Sunday in NH this weekend... We went for a walk around the pond which means traveling through rough terrain. Then we went shopping at BJs... lots more walking... Then my son and I went for a 2 mile walk to the mail boxes traveling up and down hill to get there and back...Plus all my daily chores . SOo I am hoping to see a difference in the scales this week

Glad you are okay, those storms rolled through here first, several died here too, but not as many as you guys. Our town itself was untouched, got lots of rain which we desperately needed, but no bad storms, they hit all around us. It's early spring in tornado alley, I'm sure there is more to come.

My MRI results are back and got a good report. Nothing bad like tumor or infection, nothing blown or pinched. They did say there was more arthritis then a 26 yo should have!!!

(I tell everyone that asks my age I am 26, old enough to be legal, young enough to still enjoy everything!) but not excessive arthritis for someone whe shares my birthday. He thinks the pain was from getting the garden ready shoveling in particular. He said shoveling should be strictly avoided by anyone w/ lower back issues. So DARN IT no more shoveling for me .................. I'm crushed!!!!

He said yoga is more then fine, even the stretching twists and to continue and add walking 3+ times a week for 20 minutes, said that was one of the best ever things you can do for your back.

I also lost 1 lb this week!!!!!!!

It was 2 earlier in the week, but monday's are the only weigh in that count.

I just went and posted my week on the spread sheet and looks like several are heading in the right direction!!! Congrats to everyone on a great week!

ah ha! you saved me a lot of money. I have been shoveling rock for about a month on and off, and I can not bend any more. I guess walking is back on the menu again. It is just when your hips hurt...

walking is not high on my list of relaxing exercises. 20 minutes is good. I can do 20 minutes.

AND.. those little egg muffins were supposed to last me a couple weeks, but the family found them
lol.png

I love them. They are so easy for breakfast.
