anyone know what this is or why?

First off that's really gross looking, yuck! Could your eggs be fertile? Could have started growing it looks like to me.

Second, thats the thing, its just one hen out in the coop/run by herself... no rooster, no other chick-friends.... so weird. thats what i was wondering too, but how!?!?
