someone recently asked me if I had any poo for sale, they wanted it for their trees. they said that chicken manure @ the store is pretty pricy now. I dont think it's that bad of an idea! I'll have to start some more compost piles - i only have one HUGE one right now.

I also had the thought that maybe I could make some chicken poo 'tea' and sell that as well.

manure tea is great for plants, Just thought maybe I had a selling point in the fact that i would 'brew' it & then people would buy it in liquid form. lol. i dont know too many people who would actually brew their own. the best part is with the manure tea is you can start with fresh manure, you dont have to let it 'cool off' before you make it, so its more of an instant fertilizer.

heres an article on the nutrient research of 'chicken manure tea'

LMAO sorry had to do it

I just posted this in another thread, then saw this post and I wanted to share:

We make Tea with our CM, then put in 5ltr containers and sell them for £2.00 per 5ltr at the front of the lawn, we also visit country shows as traders and take some with us. At shows we sell for £2.50 to £5.00 depending on the show and entry fee paid.

We always sell out. We also take pre-orders for it. Contact your local horticulture group and introduce yourself, telling them what your offering. We have heard of local allotment groups hiring chickens by the week for putting in allotments... Bit like farmers when they hire bee keepers to loan them bee hives and bees for pollenating, now do the same with the chickens. There is good money to be made. Nice little niche market :)

If you ever do carboot sales, make some up and have 2nd table just selling CM Tea. I think you will be very surprised at the outcome and the income generated!!
