hopefully she'll sit for u, and I hear even if double Yorkers do pip, u will need to help them hatch, but loads off them survive so hopefullyOH!! sounds promising! I went out this morning and the golf balls were in a nest with 1 egg.. no hen on it!! but it was eating time.. so maybe she just got up?
I dont know.. we shall see.. i still have a bunch of eggs in the bator!
and i really dont like using my kindle to post! darn spell check! we had a blood ring and 2 clears in our shipped eggs... but the double yolker looks good. i am not getting my hopes up too high but I have seen at least one hatch yesterday and both hatch before.. so maybe.
yea sureMind if I join? I set some eggs on May 1. I got a great deal on some Rhodebar eggs on ebay. The guy wasn't too far from me, so he let me just come pick them up, that way they didn't have to go through the wonderful postal service. I'm super excited about these. I've never had this breed. I'll be candling tonight or tomorrow (since today is my hubby's bday, might not get a chance). Good luck everyone!!

My BLRW eggs arrived from Kentucky --Priority shipping took 6 days!I ordered 3 of these eggs and upon candling them I see 1 has a loose air sack. Should I give it a chance to reset over 24 hours or just pitch it? I didn't see any other loosey goosey things happening in the other two eggs. Okay to just set those with Dixie or should I just let those set 24 hours or so...just in case?
Ahah same this is my biggest hatch yet started with 48 , got 28 viable eggs, all growing on day 7 today plus I've got 3 duck eggs in the bator aswellI got 13 eggs. I love hatching out eggs. I think my hubby gets a little tired of it some times.
6 Days!? i would have been a wreck worrying about them! I would let them all sit for a while at least. I had a detached air cell egg hatch last year, but it was in a tuner so it was big end up most of the time.My BLRW eggs arrived from Kentucky --Priority shipping took 6 days!I ordered 3 of these eggs and upon candling them I see 1 has a loose air sack.
