Anyone setting eggs May 1st?

Yes! We have 5 now. 4 Willie and a... Um..idk! There are still 2 know Willie's.. guess one of their eggs looks like my blrw!! that's ok with me. They're so small and cute! First time we've ever had bantam babies!

! My beautiful welsummer egg got kicked out from underneath the broody sometime today. It was cool to the touch when I got home from work but it was a 79 degree day so I put it front of Dixie again and we'll see if she'll keep it and candle it tonight again. If she kicks it out again we're down to 4.

Do you have an incubator you can put it in Bogtown or is broody your only option? Hopefully it was a mistake that the egg got out and it's OK.

Broody is my only option...right now. I do have a good friend with a nice Brinsea...but she set her eggs the same day as I did...so the nice Brinsea is in action in her kindergarten classroom...LOL. That's okay. I set extra eggs with Dixie thinking things like this would happen. Our roost space will be all the more nicer this winter...LOL. Just had a little hope that I'd maybe get a dark brown layer....shucks. oh well we'll see how the others do....or if Dixie will keep this one tucked under. She did accept it again and roll it underneath her....but maybe they do that...and roll them out the back if they don't feel right....IDK how that all works.

Of course I will post one.. as soon as I get home tonight! haha on the willies being boys, i wish i could tell. I have a guy that wants to buy a couple already, but I dont want to part with girls (who does!?)

Ugh I thought the 5 month wait for eggs was bad but this 3 week wait for hatching is even worse. Tomorrow is day 18 for 11 of the eggs including the 4 under Squirt. The last 7 are a day behind.
