Anyone setting eggs starting July 15 -July 22?

Were the eggs set on different days? If you have others eggs that were set on the same day as those that piped today, I would move them all to your hatching incubator, and not do anything else. The humidity is at 77 which is good. If you try to help, you may do more harm than good. I had one that hatched after 30 hours. The exposed membrane was drying out, but he hatched out perfectly in the end. Don't open the incubator while they are hatching.

Great Advice!!!!

Finally got sum pix uploaded....8 outta 11 = 73% hatch rate for my 1st try!!
Golden comet hens & Araucana Roo mix!
sum even have the blue legs like Daddy...lol

Brookhaven... I hatched some of Mrs. Pickens RIR and Welsummers this year. I had several attacks from predators and lost a bunch, but I still have 3 pullets and 2 roos from the reds, as well as 2 pullets from the wellies...they should start laying within weeks. I bought a small flock of hatchery RIR from a friend, and Ros's are a much deeper darker red and they just look better overall. They will be the only reds I hatch next year.
When I got my eggs I was worried about the quality, but they hatched great.
I love luckypickens and my TN yard is full of her AR birds! :D
Hope they do well for you.

We are on day 5 and I am keeping my fingers crossed. Everything looks good so far.

Majorjc...
I purchased my MFD eggs from another BYC'er whose name is 202 rooster ln.
You should PM her and tell her I sent you. She is in Ar. Her eggs almost all started, but I think I had a bacterial problem so I had many quitters. I got a pair though, and my girl has the biggest, cutest beard,...and her feet feathers are like 3 inches long. Little Charlie and Camilla are my faves. Unfortunate for them they are on 24 hour lock down, no roaming!
:D

So i have 20 Ameraucana shipped eggs that went into lockdown today..I was using the syrofoam incubators but DH saw how much trouble they were and built me a coolerator...It is wonderful and holding temp and humidity so well. Not bad for a guy who was against having chickens for so long...I also have 4 black french copper maran eggs in lockdown...These are all shipped eggs and looking good...have been standing on end since I got them, gently rockong on the turner and are now standing in egg cartons waiting to hatch.. Tomorrow 8 wellsummers will go into lockdown in the LG...If all these hatch I will be overrun by chicks...
