I can tell you i have a Hovabator 1688? with fan. It does ok but temp and humidity vary a lot .In my closet less but still.. more than you want...what kind of bator is it...
i am Thinking of buying a genesis or a reptipro 6000... any thoughts on these
105 is pretty high but for how long ? ,.Also someone told me they got shipped eggs once that had gone to 105 and they still got 5 chicks anyway so dont give up! You may get some yet!oh Im so worried right now at somepoint last night during lockdown the temperature spiked and im not sure how high because my thermostat went out. I candled them to try to get some reassurance and I didnt see any movement in any of them. Is it normal for them not to move much on day 18?? am I over reacting and worrying for nothing? I think the highest it would have spiked would have been 105 and its a dry hatcher. any responds would be appriciated

Got a Geneisis for this hatch .I LOVE it!!
Temp steady no ajusting AT ALL... and the humidity stays really even, dont know why as on the out side it looks like the Hovabator but maybe the type fan isnt as strong so dry up less?
Anyway i would recommend it for sure. Well they havent hatched yet but if they dont it is not because of this bator as it did everything right..I am keeping the humidity at 40 mostly 45 as some ppl thing 50 is too high for LO's and i have a lot of LO's in there ..
Genesis a little higher$ than the Hovabator but lots more peace of mine with it set at 99.5we and holds it pretty close.
I have had it go to 100.3 once but came down in literally a second to 99.7 .Thats the highest so far I have seen and usually its just been at 100 or 100.1 the whole hatch.Been REALLY great.
Chicks in PR
I think you will be happy.
..I have eggs in both of mine this time and i am WAY less stressed with this Genesis. My Hovabator often goes down to 97.8 or 98.2 and i have to tweek it a LOT I do notice this time i had more eggs in it and it seemed to do better on humidity then it has so far.Maybe 6 isnt enough. But if i was getting just one it would be the Genesis
To save money i didnt get the turner but i have one that fits for the Hovabator.Left it in there and turned by hand in the Genesis.Been wondering about laying them down being more natural maybe bigger hatch rate?.I dont know.
