Day 19 as well, and I swear as I listened by my incubator this morning I heard a little "tap tap tap tap" of a chick going to work.Day 19! I hope I get a baby by tomorrow morning! Common Silkies!!!!!
Holy hell! Day 19 and I HAVE A PIP!!!!!
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.
What do I doooooo?!?!?!? It's soooo early
AHHHHHHH
THEY ARE CHIRPING AT ME!!!!
There's at least 2 living babies in there chirping away....and you can totally yell at me, but I broke protocol and opened the incubator so I could hold the egg to my ear and hear the little baby chirping and tapping away.
I'm going to have a baby here in the next day or two!
I'm so excited![]()
The others that hatched for me took between 12-14 hours from pip to hatch. Others have said it was just a few hours. I left mine in for about 24 hours before removing. I wanted to make sure they were fully dry. Remember they can stay in there for a couple of days without food and water. You actually want the ones in there because they call to the others to come out. After my first one hatched it seemed like all her chirping started the other ones going.Woohoo!!!....CONGRATS!!!
Seen 1 pipin at 8am....a day early....but I'm Happy!!
Wondering how long does it take to complete this stage??
How long does it take for them to fluff up??
Also, can/should I remove the fluffy chicks so they won't stumble over the others??
Its funny....I know the answers....but also know it varies for each chick!!
I'm Sooooo excited & stressed at the same time!!....like when my Grandbabies was born....pacin like crazy!!....lol
