oh craigs list isnt popular here... but i do have a chicken breeder who wants to come see my chickens..lol i havn't invited him. biosecurity...but i will give him some chicksif i get too many.

he just breeds the local meaties and stuff. he is curious about what breeds i brought to our town.

my PR Game hen is starting to go broody...she hissed at me like a dinasour and ruffled her feathers...she's been on her nest since 7 am (when I opened the coop)Her nest is under the carport..

So I have a genesis on the way and a BROODY............ I have got to get a better hatch rate next month... woooooooo hoooooooooo

well, I got the call from the wife a few hours ago... we had our first pip and in no time our first hatch. now we are up to two that have hatched, I'M SOOO EXCITED!!!!!

Congrats to everyone on all the hatched babies so far!
I have one that hatched yesterday at 6:30pm and another came at about 9pm last night.
And one small white egg pipped last night and early this morning I checked the bator and there was a new little dark chick in there! Yay!!

I just love seeing all the new babies being hatched. Congratulations!!!

keep the pics coming, I will have another hatch on tuesday or so, will post more pics.....if anyone cares to swap some eggs, send me a pm, I find it a great way to get different breeds, only pures I would have right now are slw, since I have everybody else all in the same run the rest would be mixed.

These are RIR crosses - barnyard mix.
This is my very first hatch ever so I didn't get any special eggs this time around.
But these little fuzz butts sure are special now!

There is a peeping egg! I went outside to check on my broody and she was off the eggs, but acting WAY more aggressive then usual. She puffed up, jumped at me, then went to lay back on her eggs. I sat and listened and one is peeping! SO exiting!
