getting excited and nervous to candle and lock down tonight!! My last candling didn't go so well. Would hate to lose anymore!!!

OK I went into lock down with you guys. That part makes me so nervous. It seems like it takes so long. I candled one last time and lost two more eggs. I'm down to 20 now. Turner is out and water trough filled. I went with the advice on here and only half filled the other trough. I will keep a close eye on it all day. Hopfully all this waiting will pay off!

Oh its all so eggciting! Feels like we're a rolling stone now...

I love how the chicks are all sat in the egg carton like they're copying the eggs

As for my humidity I did calibrate it last week, with the salt/water in a cup in a bag method and after 8 hours it read 75% exactly (to my shock!), so i should be ok. Maybe is just really dry here at the moment.

Will report back with last candling later when its dark...

It is cute isnt it. The last hatched has been trying to get up in the carton too with the other 3.

I will candle tonite as well and report back.....IF I can see well enough inside.

It is taking forever for my temp to climb back up. It has been at 93.5 for an hour. I just turned the dial a half turn. And my humidity is only at 50%. I am using a still air hovabator so I need to be at least 101. Should I keep cranking it or be patient?
