Raimnel: 2 of mine had funny black spots at the pointy end, but the shells were almost full so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
I also panicked and put one of my ones in the discard pile back in last night, just in case.
The others I opened and were early losses except one wyandotte that was just like Kirstie's - black and fully feathered just small - was only taking up half a very small egg. If I'm honest I almost thought I saw it move after I opened the egg and tipped it out so I totally freaked out, and the thought that I might just have killed a slow developer is what made me panic and put the other half-full dubious one back in the incubator.
Anyway, its a waiting game for everyone now.
When can we expect to see rocking? Pips? Zips? Might they pip on day 20 ready to hatch on day 21?
I have already peered in the window with a flashlight half a dozen times today
My temp is still not back up to 101.5
I think its because the eggs are now on the wire now rather than in the turner and I think its cooler down there. Its at about 100.5, so I'm gradually turning it up a little.
Also after stupid humidity sticking at 55% all day yesterday it shot up to 80% by 1am and I grabbed the hygrometer and moved onto a piece of egg carton because I think it as reading unnaturally high because, again, it was sat right on the mesh floor. Its now reading a comfortable 65% which seems more likely.
Anyway. Sitting on hands now. Trying to limit visits to peep in the window
