Anyone Setting Eggs Tonight 3/31/2011 - Come join me if you like!

I'm going to set 17 cochin bantums tomorrow nite. will that count? They shipped from Maryland to Oreogn. got them this A.M. they are an assortment silver lace, gold lace, buff, mottled, birchen and barred I sure hope that I get a few girls from these, I, OXO, banties.
I will be using my Marsh TurnX7 for the first time in 7 Yrs. I had planed to set parrot eggs with it but it didn't happen for us so I then used it for 2 batches of chicken eggs salmon favorelles and russian orloffs, poulty man talked me into the last but they were great birds. I'm trying to rember all the do's and dont's. does anyone else use one of these incubators? I could use some reassurance. HopefullyHattching

the more hatching buddies the better, this is only my second hatch and i'm hoping to do better this time around - never even heard of a marsh turnx7 but i'm guessing its got to be better than my lg styrofoam bator

parrot eggs? that's pretty cool....along with the chicken eggs i just finished hatching, i hatched a dove egg as well...

Okay will join everyone. I have 12 pilgrim geese go in tonight. Im using a 1588. By next wed I will be starting another bator with 40 delawares.

added a fan, put a straw thru one of the vent holes to add water without needing to open the bator, keeping the room at 70 degrees, keeping the bator covered with towels during the night to retain the heat, i'm not going to candle every day (yeah, I was a bit overzealous my first hatch)...hoping this will get me a better hatch

Can someone please take a look and tell me if this looks like 101 degrees?

This is also the digital one I keep by my bed. Would like for it to say 100....

looks like its a bit above the 100 mark if i'm reading it right....the line above the line that reads 99.5 is the 100, so i'm seeing the mercury pass that point to the next line and since the increments are in 2 degrees, wouldn't that make it 102?...i really hate those lg thermometers, i tossed mine and using Accurite temp and humidity reader. let's see what the others say.

I set last night 3/30 using an LG with a computer fan. 5 turkey eggs, though, so you all will be done a week or so before me.
