I'm near Paris, Tennessee. Most of my adult chickens are Silkie-X and Easter Eggers, but the 'bator just hatched a batch of beautiful Ameraucanas! I'll love to trade eggs once the hens are producing. Put me on your friends list and I'll do the same!

That is wonderful, I have about 60 chickens in my back yard all kinds, lol. I also have pheasants, silver phoenix, white silkies, EE's, Black mottled cochins. I'll put you in my friends list once I figure out how to do it, lol. I have my 7th one pipping now and 4 more to go. Look at my babies now!
The EE is huge compared to the little bantys

The curious one, look at those feathered feet. Don't know what she is going to be, got to be a cross between the silkie/cochin like the little black on which also has feathered feet but only four toes on each one!

Okay so here's my update.....early this morning around 3am my chick that made the first pip finally hatched! however his cord was still attached to the egg and he drug it around untill about an hour ago. This is my first time hatching so I'm not sure if he is ok or not. he still isnt dry and he hobbles around a bit and then lays down, Is this normal? I thought maybe he should be walking better by now! 2 others have hatched the same way since then and one has the yolk hanging out. so out of 6 eggs I ended up with 3 chicks this would be super exciting if they didn't seem so unhealthy....from what I've read I shouldnt get my hopes up bc they may not survive

as of right now I'm just crossing my fingers!

Still nothing. No movement.......I never thought 21 days ago I would start with 26 eggs and end up with 6 only for them not to hatch. I wish I knew where I went wrong. Everyone else has pips but me. So sad. I guess I will have to place all my hopes and dreams in my BLRW/Silkie eggs in my Brinsea.

hang in there for a couple more days and maybe you will be surprised like i was today! (day 23)
I thought I'd be so happy when they hatched, but I'm just scared now that they wont survive because they had such a bad hatch

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you! maybe they are just waiting till they are completely ready (unlike mine)
Good luck!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I hope yours survive and ont ride the short bus. lol. Try not to worry to much. I got my humidity up to 60% not sure if that will help. Please, I just want one to hatch!!!! Just one!!

If my incubator is too hot....Will that prevent them from hatching? I have been using my accubrite digital for the apst 3 days like I have been for 21 days and today I put my LG one in that I have been using as well. I took it out to use it in my new hovabator. Well when I put it back in it was reading well over 102!!!! So are my babies cooked????
