Anyone up to set their eggs on Valentine's day with me?

I'll jump in with you.

That is a bargain Pascal PicklePants, I'll also be running eating eggs, some local barnyard mutts. I have no idea what they'll be but they're fertile!

RareBreed,

Where in AU are you?

I just moved back to the States from Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast. We lived there for 3 years. Loved it....Miss it

Nah nothing wrong with you - my friend and i go to a local auction on the first saturday of each month and i am always excited mainly to just look at all the birds! so there must be sometihng wrong with me too!

So many are trying to talk me out of this Serama incubation and after a night of research on incubation - wow you can get info overload for sure.
Gonna fire up the bator this weekend and make sure all is well!

Inkheart, why is anyone trying to talk you out of incubating the Seramas? It is possible. The hatch results just may not be a high on shipped eggs. Do you have any Serama's at all or is this your first. I got rid of mine and am trying very hard to stick to just egg producers, but boy is it hard.

They jsut say that for my first incubation that i am taking on a tall task - that they are indeed amongst the hardest to get good hatchablilty out of. No I do not have any as of yet. These would be my first. Seems it is also very hard to get started quality birds thus the reason i am going this route! Well also for the fun of it. I know i was just going to stick with large fowl and egg producers ( mind you have a crazy broody Delaware on eggs right now) But I was given by my friend the neatest small coop which just screamed that it needed Seramas in it! LOL
We will see - you may hear from me alot doing this

I am going to have to work on the run - the wiring is far to oopen/big for the little ones - but inside it has little lofts and built in nest boxes and roosts -
