Anyone use Koop Clean?

We used pine shavings to begin with then about a month ago switched to Koop Clean - and have been SO pleased. We only have 9 birds at the moment so I can see that for larger flocks it might not be cost effective...but in terms of ease of use, smell, etc - we think its GREAT and would highly recommend it.
Cool, glad to hear you're enjoying it too!

I use sand on the floor of my coop and the run. My girls are still too young to have started using the nest boxes yet but is this what you would suggest for putting in the nest boxes? I'm very intrigued!
@ADozenGirlz I know you use sand as well, in the winter would you try using the Koop Clean on top of the sand to help with more bedding or insulation? Or will you stick to just the sand? I'm in Wisconsin so it gets bitterly cold.

Thanks!

It's really a personal preference. You could use the Koop Clean mixed into the sand. I don't believe it's going to make much of a difference from an insulation standpoint though. Better to focus on excellent ventilation and keeping the coop clean and dry.

The price is double of shavings but works sooooo much better!! It dries the poop out and smells great! I have cleaned my coop like 3 times and only used 1 bag! Highly recommend!!

I purchased a bag for $18.00 - Cypress, TX. I cleaned out the coop Saturday and put down the Koop Clean. I really like working with it. I do have a concern though. The coop has a plywood floor and when the chickens hop off the roost in the morning, they slid on the bedding. I am concerned one of them will hurt themselves. Anybody else run into this?
I too have been concerned about this...I have vinyl on my coop floor, I just rake it in the morning to fluff it up and I add to it rather than clean out completely now so its a nice thick landing
