I have coops and other things that are made from pallets. I would say 95% of things at my place are made from pallets and 5% is made from recycled lumber. I have never spent money on buying new lumber. Although it takes a little effort to find pallets and get them apart, it's worth it. You can do anything with pallets.
If you are wanting to use pallets, then I would encourage you to do try it. You won't be sorry and you won't have to spend your hard earned money and buy lumber. Keep that money in your pocket for something else.
