omg I have not slept well. i had three guineas hatch and one barred rock is coming right now - two barred rock to go... hope they make it - that's all I have left from my first incubation!!!

I would love any eggs - but uhm ... I want surprises. bahahahaha. I am looking to buy some anyway. one way or another. I just thought mystery eggs would be fun. I am weird? That shouldn't have been posed as a question. LOL!

Thanks! Tell ya what... I just hatched out three guineas (never had them before) and I have been just dreaming of this lavender one. It's the biggest of the three... but I am wondering if it is normal that it's legs (which are very large and long) won't hold it up? They're always slipping out to the sides... Is that normal? She's two days old. Or he or it whatever. It's a she for the purpose of naming it hooker or something along the lines of not having the ability to keep her legs closed....

What type of bottom do you have them on? Wire, news paper, shavings? It could splay it's legs and then you'll have to bandage them and hope it works. That isn't a good sign if it's legs are doing that.

It is a nice stable bottom and I have a towel on it since the keets were learning to walk - two of them were way early and the eggs were dry and it's a miracle they lived... they scooted the first couple days and they're fine. I have pics but don't have time to get them on here just yet. I will tho after work today or tomorrow. It isn't from the bottom, it's the keet for sure.
