My poor husband has decided I have lost my ever-loving mind. He doesn't mind the egglaying bunch. The desire for me to have pretty bantams that I will neither eat nor lay eggs particularly well makes him go "whyyyyyyy?" Lucky for me, he tends to just indulge my addictions (yarn and chickens -- It could be worse, I guess).

That sounds like my dad

I just got done building a new bantam coop, after several times deciding I was going to stop buying bantams and just have standard chicken. Now I find myself with around 13 pullets and 60 bantam chicks and desperately wanting Seramas lol.

I feel your pain!!! All I want is a few silkies and a trio of Egyptian Fayoumis!!! I got a few eggs but either they weren't any good or my homemade bator is wonkin out! I got up this morning to find 2 of them oozing and smellin' up the joint.

Now that my BLRW addiction is coming along nicely- got five from Sue in NY, getting 15 from Jesse Paul in FL & getting 12 from Mrs. Turbo in KY - I'm plotting my next obsession. Giant Blue Cochins. Oh!!! I know - Giant Lavender Cochins. Oh yeah, that'd be cool.

Mille Fleur Cochins
Lavender Orps/Silkies
