Anyone want a breed of something that they can't seem to get?

my husband actually said he wanted to get some Easter Eggers.
But until we have a bigger coop I have to wait. We have more chickens now then space for them.

I really want the chicks out of my house. And I really want to pack up the bators for awhile. I have been doing this nonstop since febraury and I am about ready to just turn it all over to the girls. That is until...well October. Evil grin!

I really really want some turkeys reasonable priced or hatching eggs. i bought a dozen turkey hatchin eggs for 50.00 because i want some turkey real bad, and well i was walking up the step and BAM my dog jumps on me and knocked me down and ALL my eggs were broke except for 1. i am really hoping it will hatch but something tells me with my luck it wont.

I would love a Blue Jersey Giant and a Splash Orp, both pullets.

I would also like for all my chicks to get a few months older so I can sell the ones I don't plan to keep and name the ones I do want to keep.

I want Black Copper Marans and Silkies. The Marans are almost impossible to find and when one can find them they are not cheap. The Silkies? I just can't make up my mind which color I want. I need to hurry and make up my mind on those beause I can order those from a hatchery.

This is the same problem I have. I keep wanting more, more, more but promise myself no more to move!!!!! Thankfully, I will have some extra room when I re-home the abundance of little roos I currently have and may get some bantam cochins.

My want list is really simple right now. I want some barred chickens 'cause I have none. I want some white chickens for the same reason. I would prefer Dominiques and White Leghorns but I am not even THAT picky on breed.

I USED to have needs that were almost impossible for me. I NEEDED La Fleche (my husband wanted them so it became a need to me) and Silkies (same here but for my son) and REALLY wanted Turkens (those were MINE!!!). Every one I tried to hatch of all three breeds either refused to develop or died right before hatching. It was awful. I went through so many eggs. Finally I chose the hatchery route. Knew I could give up on any show dreams anyone had, but we would have the babies we wanted. I now have 5 La Flcech (1 roo, 4 hens as ordered), 3 Silkies, and 2 Turkens. Ahhhhh.......life is good.

My wish list is:

Chocolate Orpington Banties (thanks to all of you posting about them LOL!)

Lavender Orpingtons

Cuckoo Maran Gals for my Roo

K.Campbell Ducklings

Cayuga Ducklings

Ancona Ducklings

I asked my DH for an Incubator for my 50th birthday, birthday just passed by and he totally forgot what day it was, no incubator :-( I have decided I am going to go out and buy myself one and then start buying/hatching eggs! I can't seem to find anyone selling day olds in the breeds I want, other than a hatchery but I don't want to buy anymore hatchery babies. I figure if I can hatch a chicken with a shoebox and a heating pad, surely I can hatch eggs with a real bator LOL

I second that and also one that puts things back where he gets them from. That would be a MAN SENT FROM HEAVEN.

Amen to that! That does not describe my DH at all. Wish it did though.
