My original plan was to have just RIR hens and the roo didn't matter really. I wanted egg layers to sell the eggs for eating and to donate to locals in need. Well, I became a member of this site and now I'm addicted. I won a dozen eggs of assorted breeds, then I saw some I thought looked cool so I got a dozen. I decided to be a test receiver for somebody wanting to try out a new packing idea so there was another dozen. Oh then I saw this relaly pretty black silkie mix and just had to have it. So there is 6 more. Oh then I just have to have osme bronze turkeys. There are 8 of those. I decided to add a couple or 6 of my own flocks eggs in the bator trying to get more of the big hens, hopefully they will alal be hens.

Yeah, right?

BAck several months ago I discovered a man that breeds a bird very similar to the Phoenix. Its an American Onagadori. So I just had to have a pair.

then the hubby wants to raise quail for our freezer, now we have 17 eggs. All these eggs are in our bator and have various hatch dates and the first set begins their 3 day wait tomorrow.

When I get my bator empty, I'm going for the EE's I want. I want all colors. I hope I can stop there.

Well debi.....

I sell Hatching White Silkie Eggs, so you'll just have to get you a bator.

I am also going to start selling the black within about 7 months, and I also may add the blues. We'lll see!

i REALLY REALLY REALLY want Ayam Cemani. but as far as i know they don't even exist in the US! they are so fascinating, black combs, legs, meat, bones, organs, blood. they look like statues! and so beautiful!

i also want lakenvelders. just because they're gorgeous. they look like a white leghorn but more 'interesting' due to the pretty black tail & head.

now, what I want to see is a brown or black chicken with a white head & tail. wouldn't THAT be something to see?

it would look like an eagle!
