Anyone want to get into shape this summer?

Whoa, 7 lbs great job!!!! I couldn't do with out meat though. What do you eat for protein? Maybe I could modify some of what I'm doing.

The smoothie sounds good. Peanut butter does have protein, how about the the vegie burger,,,what brand?

Ugh,,I had a no no before bed last night. I feel it in my tummy today. It's amazing how your body gets used to not having the junk in there. Won't be doing that again. Yuck!!!!
 
i'm in, i have been looking for motivation for months. i was going to the gym faithfully for 3 weeks then got pnuemonia and that was the end of that.
i need to lose about 75 lbs but mostly i want off the blood pressure and cholesterol meds.
As far as fun exercize i love my kayak ,which brings me to another reason to lose.
i look like such an ass trying to get out of my kayak ,lol

Can I join in? I've already lost 6 pounds but I could stand to drop a bit more.

My plan:
~NO soda
~NO fast food
~Cut back on fried food, I can't quit fried food...I'm southern

AWESOME everyone!!

We had grilled chicken and a garden salad with light dressing last night. I cant wait to have my garden start producing!
Today I am heading into Harvard Square with my daughter to meet the husband for lunch. Really not that many healthy choices in there. But we will split something.
 
My sweet hubby took me out to JAPANESE!!!! It's one of my favorites. I have learned to love sushi. Don't say yuck until you've tried it. I swore I would never eat the stuff. If you have a friend who eats it ask them to get you started. There are certain ones that are mostly veggie. I don't really like the raw meat though. I like the steamed or cooked. ANYWAY, the great news is that I've eaten enough small meals that I could hardly eat. Normally I can put it AWAY. It made me feel even more motivated to keep going. Thanks everyone for encouragment and your victories. Week one is almost up!!!!!!!!
 
Way to go Missouri Chick!! I eat eggs and peanut butter and beans for protein and I am sure I will have fish occasionally that I catch myself. I really want to get away from the commercial meat industry. The veggie burgers I am eating are called "Garden Burgers". They come in original and portabello mushroom and they are both okay. They aren't as good as the first ones I bought, but I can't remember what they are called. I will have to check the next time I am at the store.

Did very well again today... smoothie, kashi bar, veggie sandwich from Quizno's, and veggie burger for dinner with carrots. And I did a lot of home care today so I was very active, but haven't worked myself up to exercising yet.

I ran into an old friend at the health food store today and no kidding she weighs about 90 pounds and it well over 5 feet. I was definitely a little discouraged, but very glad I have nothing to feel GUILTY over.

Tomorrow is the big test... graduation parties with cake and goodies and snack foods. Boy, I need to plan ahead of time what I am going to say and what I am going to eat. I wish we all had accountability partners we could call when we are tempted!!

Well, I just made a cake for my friend's daughter's graduation tomorrow and didn't lick the bowl.... or the beaters.... or my fingers for that matter. One very small victory, but a victory none the less.
