Anyone want to hatch with. Today is the big day!!!!!!!!!! (thursday)

Those chick pics are so cute. Even the 2 rescued ones! I don't know enough except to take out any that hatch after they dry.

I have serious reservations that anything in the hova bator will hatch. Just finally pulled out 5 of the 12 bantam eggs, 4 had broken yolks and the 5th just didn't do anything, guess it was infertile. Nothing grew in the broken yolk ones either. So guess that was postal damage.

On my Welsummers, last I heard she had 12 left in the bator with jagged looking airsacs out of the 32 she started with for me. So 20 were duds. That is an awfully lot!

I guess my hatches will be 'going off' next week. So we will just wait and see!

Just went into lockdown last night and I have 1 out and 3 pipped! They're early. First one out looks fine, I hope they'll all be ok!

My eggs weren't due to hatch until tomorrow but we have 2 pipped already!!! Yeah!! This is my first silkie batch. There are 23 eggs total. 1/2 are buff, the others are various colors. The two that have pipped are a white and a buff. Hard to believe it's going to happen until you see the little cracked eggs.

How is everyone else doing?

Now 4 have pipped and one of them is chirping. I think we'll have at least one chick by tonight and more waiting when we get up in the morning. There are eggs from 2 breeders in there. So far it's 2 from each that have pipped.

It's hard to wait for them to break out!

SilkieChickenLover, I hope the chicks are waiting for you when you get up in the morning. By the time you get home from school they'll probably be all dried and fluffy! Good luck to you.

First chick hatched and boy howdy is it loud! A few others are zipping now and they are all talking to each other. I've had several other breeds hatch and I don't remember this much noise. Silkies loud?

Where'd everybody go? I hope I'm not the only one hatching today. I now have 11 hatched, at least 1 more has pipped. That will leave 11 eggs (hopefully they'll decide to do something tonight).

I finally pulled 8 that were completely dry and put them in their temporary brooder. I've been taking pictures all day, I'll post some tomorrow.

I'd really like to hear that others are having good luck too!

ok guys so yesterday was day 21 for me and none hatched

( hopefully i can at least get one baby today!!!!! i did candle the other eggs i have and all of them were.....FERTILE!!!! i could see them moving!!!!!! so at least thats an up
