My friend has been recently teaching me to crochet but I have never used a pattern or anything and I have no idea what everything is called but I would love to learn
All I can make is a simple circle, square, or rectangle and it’s all the same kind of stitch
My friend doesn’t know lots about crocheting.

I leart alot out of books and from youtube or blogs. I found it easiest to learn new stitches and techniques as i came across them in patterns. That way your learning whilst having fun and getting something from it.

I got the pattern from etsy. It's really easy to follow. The spikes take quite a while to complete but definately worth it.

Question for the crocheters with a bit more experience than me: I lost my 4mm crochet hook! It is the one that I use most often so am SUPER annoyed. Is it better to size down to 3.5mm and crochet a bit loosely, or go up to 4.5 and crochet a bit tighter than usual?
