Anyone Who Needs A Hug

Pics
Your husband my not have stuff lieing around. I'm lucky enough to have to be ready at a seconds notice to go anywhere in the world. So I have a lot on hand he may not have. I wish their were more bird vets around.
Neither is my husband, LOL :lau

That's the good stuff. Sigh. Wish our vet would think of my chickens as being really short Ostriches. He will treat them and Emus but not chickens. Where is the logic in that?

How's Gus Gus? I had a pet Pekin duck when I was 7 years old named Gus Gus. His buddy's name was Chatter. I'm amazed I still remember that.

Cap, hang in there. You'll come out of this ordeal fine. Hugs cure all ills!

Hugs to you and Mama and Gus Gus and to everyone out there who just needs a hug tonight.:hugs

I could use a hug...I lost one of my girls today...Granted, the only chicken I have ever lost was a day old chick so while it was very sad, I hadn't known her well. Today, I heard a commotion and found a pile of feathers in place of my dear hen, Rosie, one of my closest companions.

My dad followed the feathers and found her corpse. Whatever had killed her didn't even have the strength to carry her off. Her death was for nothing...It would have been one thing if the predator killed for a desperate meal...no.

I am terribly distraught. I cuddled her until I put her in a box and buried her. Sorry, I just needed to vent...I have never lost a hen until now.

Thanks Micro, hugs to you too! How is the thumb doing?

Remarkably painless. Thankyou for asking. Cap. How about you? The one thing I hate about CTs is that unless there is somebody right there to read it, you seem to wait forever to get any results.

Hope you are feeling better today and hope the CT was relatively painless....not that they are painful, other than the hurry up and waiting part.

Yes, Mama, how is Gus Gus and his mom doing? I'm with you about the lack of avian vets.

Hugs to everyone. I hope you had a good wednesday.

Oh @Birb Momma, I am so sorry. Yes, consider yourself hugged. I know how painful it is to loose a bird that you love. I've lost 18 birds to Marek's. Most of them favorites of mine. I love all my birds but my roosters are my favorites and it seems the disease has been particularly hard on my boys. I set and held many of them in my arms while they took their last breaths so yes, I know how bad you are hurting right now.

Your dear Rosie was so lucky to have such a loving friend and chicken momma. Her spirit is free.

Another hug for you :hugs Rest in peace little Rosie. You were a very much loved little bird.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Hudge hugs

@microchick I am very sorry that you have lost so many lovely chickens, I couldn't imagine going through the pain I am feeling now 18 times! I hope they are happy wherever they are and that they accept Rosie into their fold, wherever chickens go to roost and play when they are gone.

Thank you for your condolences and hugs to you and @Mama Runner

That's the only bad part about chickens, losing them...They are lovely, all of them.

I should find out my CT results tomorrow when i go back to the specialist. It was fast and easy getting it done. He will probably give me more pills. Or want to do surgery, who knows?
