Anyone willing to ship to SA?

Lol! I have! She needs a special piece of paper before she can and isn't into a spot of egg smuggling! (I cant believe I am actually writing this!)

I am however holding out hope.. (or for the piece of paper or to soften her up!)

Oh WOW, a poultry show organization in SA! I googled poultry "everything" in SA and could come up with nothing! You good!

I am not really into show poultry, more into eat poultry and lay poultry, but thank you so much. I am very happy to know there are others with chickens!

Even though those are show poultry, I bet some of them raise birds for meat or eggs on the side! I found my first pet silkie by going to a breeder and getting a few accidental chicks that weren't for show.

As for the egg thing, I think most don't have eggs for selling because the hens aren't laying. Does it get cold enough where you are that birds stop laying for the winter?

(Light bulb moment!) Yes.. that make perfect sense.. And really worth a try... I will look into it!

No, it is high summer at the moment and I have never seen snow in my life. They might slow down for a week or two in the heart of winter, but they never stop or molt. (Lol)

I won't have enough right now but if you contact me in spring, I might be able to send you BO, GLW and redstarX. By that time, everyone will be seperated and the new chicks should start laying.
Consider it gratis, just pay shipping.

LOL, "Gratis" in Afrikaans mean "free" in English! It is a incredible generous offer, thank you, but I do insist on paying. How else am I going to get more out of you?

Please find out what it is going to cost and give me a plus minus date when spring starts there and I will for sure contact you! Actually, more like hound you!

Not that I am saying anything however I do know what the regs are for Eggs export from Tanzania( or what they were 16 years ago) my grandparents paid ALOT of money and spent an incredible amount of time waiting for the permit we then shipped eggs into Chicago and had a quarentine station there where the eggs hatched once they hatched then they had to be inspected by USDA.Jerk who know squat about ostriches let alone any type of bird. The inspection was a joke. Just another way for the goverment to get into people's business. (Okay rant over)

Luckily (for me) SA only got a ban in place for any chicken product from Germany! (Don't ask..)

I am also very happy it isn't 16 years ago!
