I am looking for any giant/large breed eggs. No mutts. Must be at least 20+ eggs. (wont say no thank you for 19) Ready to ship on a Monday morning, eggs all collected over the weekend. Must be shipped priority or express. (The fastest you got going there)

I have done my homework. If somebody is willing to work with me here, it is a doable! Risks or no risk.

I know it is going to be a expensive venture.. Any takers?

Signed: Mareloo, who wants American baby's!

I have sent a parcel from here, to Ohio (not eggs) about 6 months ago and it took 4 days. The company I used promised it will take 3. I done the maths that it will take 5 days. (If anything goes wrong) It was very expensive. Because of that, I want to try with as many eggs as possible. If I can hatch 5 baby's out of 20 I will be happy.

About how many, of what breed, do you collect over a weekend?

I get 8-14 a day, but none of mine are pure, read bottom of post for breeds, most of any one breed is buckeyes and only have 3 girls. I started with pullet pack so got a couple of chicks from differnt breeds.

What kinds are you looking for? It may be harder to get some "American chickens" in quantity this time of year because it's winter here. I'm sure someone has what you are looking for though. I know mine are only giving a few eggs a day.

What's special about the birds up here anyways? Are they not available in SA? Or are you seeking pure breds? Although, I thought you had some of thoes too?

Best of luck on your quest!

I do not understand. How do you collect 8-14 eggs a day with only 3 girls? I am busy googling all your breeds.. LOL. Is there a way, that you can separate say your RIR and Leghorn eggs?

I believe that md was talking about how he has a lot of many types of chickens, and the most of one type he has is three. So he has a lot more, they are just all different.

I'd find the breeds you want and try to find a good breeder out here with that type, since you are spending so much on it. Good luck!

Silkiechicken, I do not mind what breed they are, as long as they Big! I do know it is winter there, bargaining on the fact that few will want to hatch this time of the year. It gives me a better chance of actually getting my hands on a few.

We haven't got the kind of network you people have. Chickens are actually a very scares commodity here. Pure breds are unheard of. I will give my two front teeth for some of your country's blue opingtons..

In that case, talk with speckledhen. She has got some beautiful blue orps.

Other large breeds here include Jersey Giants and Standard Cochins. 10+ lbs often if you get a good strain.

Not to be a spoil sport but ..... Is it legal to ship eggs to another country without quarrantine and special license?
