Anyone with Eggs hacthing around Nov.19th

Good luck with your hatch! I think its exciting to see what to you get everytime. I have a staggered hatch going on right now so I have some to hatch for the xext 3 weeks. Not sure if I will be able to go through all this stress, lol.

The funny thing about this hatch is my timing. I did not think about the upcoming show we are going to and now, have to take the incubator to the hotel with us. The hatch is during the show! Hope the hotel doesn't want a pet deposit? How would you figure it? LOL It will be a staggered hatch for me as well. I will not put any more in the bator for two weeks.... If I can help it! It's hard to say no.

Sorry, finally layed down at 10:00 to take a nap just woke up and all but 2 have hatched. The white one doesn't appear to be moving though just half out of the shell.I can see 8 frizzles moving around, 4 silkies moving around 1 silkie laying very still. 1 egg has a pip (same pip as a long time ago) 1 egg doesn't appear to have a pip at all. Should I take the babies out yet. Some appear very sticky and have gotten themselves covered in little pieces of shell all over?

I would just wait till the rest are done hatching. You can always clean them off later. This time of year, if you open the hatcher the dry conditions (in most areas) iside your house will suck the humidity right out of it. The egg shells should come off on their own, but if not you can worry about that when they are done hatching. Don't worry about the silkie baby, it is probably just resting!

Thanks, I will wait. 1 more silkie hatched, now waiting on that last egg to do something. Maybe I should take another nap that seemed to work.

No the one that had pipped hatched a bit ago, this is 1 that has done nothing at all. Guess what I guess got in the mail, a bunch of Silkie egg and 1 blue egg! They are resting. A fellow BYC member sent them for me to try and hatch before she starts selling her eggs. Free babies Yeah!!!!

Gotta love those freebies!!

If the one that hasn't done anything is the only one left, you could go ahead and take the others out and candle that egg to see if it has done anything. As long as it doesn't have any pip on it, it won't dry out. Silkies are very addictive, I pity you...

My son is in love with them! He has 7 already. He calls them feather chickens.
