Anyone with Eggs hacthing around Nov.19th

I have 8 lil chickies now. Number 8 is a black Chantecler/Australorp mix. The Java/Australorp egg has a pip in it.

So far its a tie....Broody 4, Bator 4!! 6 black/brown chicks, 2 chipmunk EEs.

Will check the broody in the morning to see if any of her other 3 have hatched.

Yeah buttons take 16 days more or less. The first time I did them the only one that hatched popped out on day 15. Make sure that your humidity is HIGH, HIGH, HIGH!! They need a LOT of humidity to hatch. I think that's where I messed up on mine!

She lets her BLRW and Marans mix? Wow, she could get sooo much $$ for pures! Lucky for you though, huh?

Aww, the babies are to cute. Love the little yellow duck! Well I fell asleep at 5pm and just woke up. I guess I am a light weight and can't pull all nighters anymore. I awoke to 3 buttons hatched. Yeah! there are 5 more button eggs in the bator but I had to open it to get the 3 out because I didn't realize that I had such a big gap between the rack and the side of the bator and they were stuck (but are fine now). I hope I didn't hurt the eggs but really never thought any would hatch since they were free eggs thrown in with a egg order and all but 2 of the Chicken eggs were smashed when I got them. They are so tiny, had never even seen buttons before. My daughter will be so happy, I had said if they hatched I would just try and sell them, well she talked her dad into going and getting an aquarium and all for her to keep them. The aquarium is 40 gallons so should be big enough I think. When she gts up she is going to go nuts.

Awww the little duck is adorable!! Congrats!

My 9th chickie hatched during the night, the Java/Australorp, yay! Now I have 6 black chicks and 2 chipmunky ones. I am winning now...Bator 5, Broody 4

Two more have pipping in the bator and I am waiting til it gets light out, so I can go check under the broody.

I saw someones post where they had a pic of a little button next to an EE chick...the size difference was amazing! I had no clue buttons were that tiny. And I was shocked at how small my Mille Fleur d'Uccles were, they were probably twice the size of a button.

I just checked the last 3 eggs under the broody. 1 was liquified, threw it away and I don't see movement in the other 2, but left them with her for a bit longer. I have 10 eggs left in the bator, but only 2 have pips so far. I might be coming down to the end of my hatch

If I get 11 out of 21, I will be very happy with that. Sure beats the only 1 out of 41 on my very first hatch attempt.
