Yikes.
Our neighbor had a pony attacked by something. Just a swipe on the throat, but coyotes don't swat. Fortunately, it's all healed up now and the pony is fine.
And the more I think about it, the more I can't wait until this puppy is house broken and can make it through the night. And the more I'm having second thoughts on checking the hen house when I hear disturbances.
The other night, something knocked over some old door frames we had leaning against the run after cleaning out part of the barn. I went out and made some noise, but since the geese were making their normal kinds of "what was that" noise and there was never anything more, I went back in.
They're locked in a pretty secure shed. I think anything that could pry its way in could pry its way through the side of the house...not anything I want to mess with armed with a dog and a hoe. A weasel could maybe get in through a hole, but I'm hoping the dog in the run and the geese inside can help prevent that!
