Stephany, I think I read you put a hole in the big end where the air sack is, but I would be afraid to do that, myself. I have the opposite problem. Went to turn eggs this morning and noticed one had pipped. They aren't due until the 19th, so now I don't know whether to stop turning all of them and raise the humidity, or what. How can it pip 4 days early? Why don't hens seem to have these problems?

Okay so went into lockdown last night. I know they shouldn't hatch until Monday but I can't quit looking through the glass. I guess I keep hoping to see an egg move or something. I know they need to wait until Monday. I don't want to wish my weekend away because that means I will have to work on Monday but I am ready for some chicks!

Temp has been right at 99.5 entire time. If anything, the humidity has been running too high, and I've been trying to get it down (so I can move it back up for lockdown??) The egg that pipped didn't seem to be progressing after 12 hrs. so I looked at it and there was a crack down one entire side from the pip, and didn't hear any peeping, so I don't think it made it. They are pheasant eggs and I have had no luck candling. I turned the rest and think I'll stick to the original date unless I see any more pips.

I have a continuous hatch going on right now.
October 1st., I put in ShowGirls, Japs, silkies and guineas. Hatch day is Oct 22nd
Oct 4th., I added Buff Laced Polish. Hatch date is Oct. 25th
Oct 14th I also added 29 more Silkies. Hatch date is Nov. 4th

Total eggs in the bator right now is 7 dozen

Oh, my DH is going to kill me when he realizes most of those eggs are mine. Well, I still have a week to come up with a plausible explanation

I have one that just pipped! Yea It is a tiny little crack. Hopefully it will hatch before bed.
