That's one identifiable influence in your life, but we're all influenced by many different things. Some things which are perhaps so subtle you don't take notice of them, and don't realise the effect they are having on you. I know people from that time who are, well, of questionable character shall we say. So as classy as your grandparents may be, it's not proof that everyone from their generation was equally as classy.
