APA/ABA Standards Online Poultry Show--**WINNERS ANNOUNCED**

Congratulations winners!

Now, with judging going on at a show, are there any particular rules for people wandering as viewing, or can they step between judge and cage?

I realize that you can view the judging, yet birds owners are told to leave the area and stay away from the judge! You can tell the bird owners by the straight stance, leaning from the ankles to see the expressions of the person judging. Its kinda funny.

Usually the judges have assistants that will block off the area where they are judging. You can imagine it'd be very distracting for a judge (and the bird too!) with kids underfoot and adults trying to ask what a particular bird is (Is that a chicken? *points at a silkie*)

The way I have seen areas (rows of cages) blocked off is they will place a long stick or board up across the top of the cages at the end of each row with only the judge and his assistant inside that area. Observers and bird owners are discouraged from entering the area.

Thank you for that answer, as I assumed it would be that way yet I noticed a woman and kids, wandering down past the judge, between him and a cage and wondered why no one said a thing. But I was unsure of it, questioned it and everyone shrugged their sholders! lol. It was not a major show but still it was one of those questions. TY again.

Hey Ropo, Thanks! Thats cool! Am really looking forward to entering the two sisters in shows this fall. That boosts my confidence!

It sounds funny to say, "Go team Buttercup!"
