Hi everyone!
My name is Allison. I am 28 and live in northern CA. I have been married for 4 years and have two kids and just found out we have another one on the way...why not start a new flock too?! We have two cats and a golden retriever and we are excited to start our own family flock!
Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My husband is new to chickens, but I have been around chickens pretty much my whole life. Although, I wasn't really the "caretaker"
How many chickens do you have right now?
We don't have chickens at this moment, but our order of 26 chicks is arriving 3/30!!
What breeds do you have?
We ordered ameraucanas, bielefelders, black australorps, black cochins, columbian wyandottes, golden laced wyandottes, partridge cochins, salmon faverolles, and some big reds.
What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Fresh eggs and teaching my kids the responsibilities and rewards of backyard farming.
What are some of your other hobbies?
I love to crochet. I'm actually going to crochet an egg collecting apron!

Well everytime I google my questions about chickens BYC pops up and helps answer my questions. So why not join this fun online community?!
