Apparently I'm a bad poultry owner

There is no problem with keeping them locked up as long as the ventilation allows huge amounts of fresh air to pass through.
A flock of chickens in a well ventilated clean coop is better off in most cases than a caged fowl on an egg farm.
I caution you that you don't have a raccoon lurking - you have a raccoon, its brothers, sisters, mother, father, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. afoot.

Wow, just do what you do.
People are so damn judgemental these days like their way is sooo much more superior and they just can't wait to point it out in the most condescending way possible.
It is ridiculous.:barnie
Had to lock the birds up due to a raccoon wandering around the neighborhood. Well I posted a picture of our birds in a chicken group on facebook and almost all the comments were 'Why are they locked up?! They should be running around free' and 'You're really terrible for keeping them locked up'

I'm thankful that a mod of the group commented 'Maybe there's a predator in the area'
I replied to their comment to confirm this but I'm still a little hurt that people thought I was terrible for keeping them locked up. I had even wrote at the top of the post that they're locked up to keep them safe for a couple days.

Iv'e never even had one to delete, my seventy year old father had one and even he was getting drama for doing typical older guy stuff.
That place isn't healthy!
Hard, hard pass on all that. :)
Amen! I deleted my FB account about a year ago and would NEVER go back. Haters and shit-stirrers on there. I don’t need that.

Just glancing at the Pact Act, I see no problem with making malicious acts of cruelty such as crushing & burning federal crimes. Perhaps I need to do more research. Am I missing something?
Crushing: the act used to castrate cattle, sheep, goats, to nueter using banding or emasculators.
Burning: dehorning, branding.
