Apparently you can’t die of embarrassment..

Ha! At least your sense of humor is still intact! I assume all chickens are ok? Next time, we want pictures... of you 😉
Yes chickens are fine, I’m sure they were laughing at me behind my back. I can imagine my girls getting together talking about me..”why does she come out here looking like a poor homeless person?” And my snooty polish hens “she really is an embarrassment to the flock”!

I am about your height.
The trouble with pants or leggings on their own is they don’t trap warm air very well. So putting a dress on as well means the dress traps warm air and keeps your thighs warm.
Even warmer is tall men’s outer jackets. Like a dress but often with a fleece lining. And because I am short they cover the top of my legs very nicely.
I sometimes also wear silk longjohns under the pants/leggings.
And yes, I am not a fan of being cold!

The issue with the men’s outer wear is the sleeves are way too long. But I roll them back and put a stitch through the rolled but so it doesn’t come down.
Ok I got it! Silk longhorns??? I feel left out of the loop! Thankfully I can sew, a bit at least, I hem a lot of pants. I’ll look into your suggestions, thanks so much!! If you think of anything else please let me know. Us short women need to stick together :)

I posted this in the wrong thread. I meant to post it here.

I do a little public speaking, usually at church. The first few times I did, some absolutely bone-headed things would spontaneously blurt out of my mouth. Oh I'm really glad you can't die of embarrassment, but there were times I wished I could, lol! I had my audience in stitches a few times, and never on purpose. My deliveries have gotten a lot better with practice and now if I get a laugh it's usually intentional. Whew!
