Thank you for the video- I am sorry some people suck the life out of everything,
Love, Joy, Peace, patience, Kindness
I really appreciate the support. I too cannot understand why people do that. It beats me🤔..... anyway, thanks for watching, I hope the information helps you raise happy healthy chickens!
I don't think putting you down was the point of their responses... I think even if you promoted your video elsewhere, you would get people who disagreed with it. It’s really out of concern for the birds’ health, and getting accurate information out to the public. I’m thankful for helpful informative discussions like this, as it definitely helps me make better decisions on how to feed my birds.
I agree, some responses could have been said better... On both sides.
But its just a debate about ACV, it is interesting to hear others opinions, and why they belive that. Either way, we just need to remember this thread isn't to throw each Other down, but to share our opinions and experiences with ACV and poultry. We might come to a consensus, or mabey not, but either way, this is a great thread, thanks OP.

If there have been no studies done to verify benefits, have there been actual studies done to verify the dangers? My chickens have been drinking both lately, as I did read something about the heat.

Some studies have found that broilers grow slower when given apple cider vinegar " there are two studies by the Journal of Applied Poultry Science and the Asian Australian Journal of Animal Science that show broilers grow more slowly when fed apple cider vinegar water than those that are not. " . There is no definitive science that shows any benefit to anybody taking apple cider vinegar. http://blog.chickenwaterer.com/2012/12/dont-use-apple-cider-vinegar-acv-in.html

But there's nothing like a bit of pseudo-science to sell a product.

I'd only use vinegar to clean out the waterer. You'd get more 'health benefits' from fermenting their feed.

Yes it can hurt. It can hinder the absorption of calcium.
Your birds are better off with plain fresh water.
Many Prescriptions are so strong we have a lot of bad side effects. To the point we turn back to what our parents used. It worked for them, we don't know why but for those of us who can't tolerate those side effects,we might turn back to the Apple cider cure. They didn't use it to cure EVERYTHING. Nothing can cure everything.

There has been studies about the benefits; see my previous post.
There has not been any about the dangers, besides to show slow growth in broilers (bad profit). There is no money in backyard chicken keeping.. therefore no incentive to study the wild claims of some of these homeopathic remedies.
