That's good to know and makes sense! When I was a kid, we had a Halloween parade in town with hot dogs and kool-aid to follow. The kool-aid was in galvanized containers, and every single kid in town was sick as a dog the next day! I didn't eat hotdogs for years after that!

Thanks for the reminder! I don't have any galvanized containers, but was considering purchasing some. I think I'll just stay away from them altogether.

Ok my Dad is 85- old Chicken Farmer..He used this daily.
Use only apple vin. (like the kind you use to make pickles when canning)
1 tablesoon to 1 gal of water. No galv. waters it only makes them rust Plastic only.
The apple vin. mix keeps their systems clean and keeps them from getting sick. I use it year around.
I do offer plain water every couple of days per week but not any longer than 2 days at a time.
Especially in the winter time(snow and cold) I use it everyday in the waters.
There is another type of natural wormer.... butternut squash.... with seeds. I just cut it up and throw it in -- about once a month or so.
