Apple Cider Vinegar??

To the best of my knowledge there are no issues with vinegar in a PVC waterer. PolyVinly Chloride is a form of plastic and pretty resistant to changes in water pH.

How about the water nipples with ACV? there is a metal piece in there that allows the water to
flow when teased by the birds beak. I think it might be stainless steal.
I have added ACV to my nipple bucket for almost a year now, and have not noticed any issues.

I am not yet familiar with watering nipples so I may be wrong. It's my understanding though that the metal parts are usually stainless steel which is pretty resistant to the sort of corrosion that the small amounts of vinegar added to drinking water would cause. Galvanized (as in zinc coated) or plain carbon steel, iron, brass, copper, and those sorts of metals are the ones that are at risk.
