Hi everyone, I read that apple cider vinegar is good for the chickens. How much ACV should I use in a 1 litre bottle of water? I just bought a soda bottle converter as the waterer I currently have is galvanized steel and from what I understand ACV will cause errosion to the water.

Thanks, Rania

I put 1 Tablespoon per gallon. Because the gallon will be 3.7864 L I will consider 4 litres and add just bait more ACV.
The chickens will let you know if is to much because they won't drink it.
Remember it has to be the one with the mother.

I have the trader joe's brand of unfiltered apple cider vinegar, will that work?

I got it at Walmart is a little expensive and change from gallon to just a little bottle.
Some people seem to mix it with the other so will make it last but I have not done that.
The brand I have is BRAGG .
The background is yellow with red borders The brand is in white letters, it has the word organic in white letters as well and then under says
Raw-Unfiltered apple cider vinegar
And finally in a big red rectangle there is the words With the mother in white letters.
The liquid will be a bit dark and you will see some kind of black slime that is the mother, when you give it to the chicken shake it a bit.
Hope this helps

what you described is the same as what I have but different brand of course. I have a litre bottle so I will start by using 1/2 a tsp and see how they take to it.

I am not familiar with trader Joe's.
What you have to look for are .
Organic, Raw-unfiltered , apple cider vinegar, with the mother
Those words have to be in the bottle.
