Applying for Citizens Public Safety Academy!

Soooo excited! Our local police department is doing one for 12 weeks and I so want to be part of it. I am dropping my application off tonight, deadline is the 20th. Hopefully they'll pick me....me...meeeeeeeeeeeeee

For 2012, the City is sponsoring a new and expanded program - the Citizen's Public Safety Academy! During this twelve week program, public safety staff will provide instruction in the following areas:
•Administration
•Fire Operations
•Patrol Operations
•Fire Prevention
•Traffic Enforcement
•Emergency Medical Services
•Use of Force Issues
•Special Operations / Teams
•Criminal Investigations
•Crime Scene Investigation
•West Michigan Enforcement Team (narcotics investigations)
•Training

Course instruction includes practical exercises.

Hubby is worried because of my bad ankle but I don’t think they’ll chase us through the woods with 100lb backpacks. Maybe I’ll get to ride the bucket truck!!!
