Approximately much did it cost to build you coop and run?

Just under $60. .... Lots of recycled materials on hand. Pics on my page....

The first coop I built (4W x8L x 4.5T) ran us just over a $100. We utilized some scrap materials we had here at the house.

Second coop we built (10x10 shed kit conversion) has run us just over $500 - it's not finished YET, but we're pretty sure we have all the materials for it for when the weather improves again. (Planning to add some doors by the nests and chick brooder - which is the space below the nests - so I can access the eggs without entering the coop or access the brooder without having to get on my hands and knees inside the coop.) We just needed to get our ever-growing flock moved in before the winter hit!

Our 8x10 walk in w external nesting boxes, 18 inch overhang roof, storage closet and 10x16 run will cost around $2500 plus 40 hrs research and 60-80 hrs execution time. Will post pics next week. The roof goes on today

Hi, Doing all the work myself except for maybe two days where a couple of buddies helped early on and including coop and totally enclosed 24' x 20' chain link run.....I stopped counting at over $4,000.00 on this coop.

This second coop is smaller with a smaller run, different style with different siding. Totally built by myself including the door, had the glass I used for the windows....spent over $2,600.00 on it.

Both are totally worth the money in our eyes. Have electricity, running water, auto door openers, vinyl on floors, poop trays, proper ventilation, lots of windows, etc....

Hope this gives ya an idea.

Around $1000...after hubby said he could do it for "near to nuthin'".

I knew better! But, well worth it. We made sure it was a very respectable unit since we live in the city and have backyard chickens. We didn't want the neighbors worried about an eye sore. Plus, I HAD to have the red siding...so what if it was 3 times as much as white siding...it looks like a little barn out there!
