I Candled a dark egg just now and there was movement, so I am saying it is just too early. Thanks twister!

Ok, I am eggcited! I saw one or two of the eggs move. They were right next to each other so it might have been one moving the other, but I am hopeful!

Happy about my baby chicks, but bummed about my rabbits.

One of my mama rabbits had her babies outside the nesting box last night. All 7 died of exposure by the time i found them this morning.

Gotta keep hatching chicks to make up for it!

Thanks for the vibes.. I think they are working! Sorry about your rabbits. We never had much luck with keeping the baby rabbits alive.

We are trying our hand at meat rabbits. Hopefully the other mama will do better.

Rule of thumb is you only give them 2 chances to get it right. Some rabbits are just not good mothers. I have two rabbits right now who insist in eating their babies. Its horrible. They do not eat all of them but one is too many. My Holland lop made a beautiful next with lots of straw, hay and fur and then she had them all on the wire and they all died. I was so upset. So I made a new huth which had a built in nesting box and she did a great job the second time around. She only had 2 outside the nest and 4 in the nest. Then I had a lionhead who decided not to build a nest at all. So I had to build one for her. I managed to save all the babies! I just had lop babies 2 weeks ago and I am expecting a Double mane Lion head litter any day now. Good luck with rabbit breeding!!! I really enjoy it.

Still nothing here. I have eggs coming and they should be here either tomorrow or Monday and I am going to toss them the day after they arrive. I have never had any of my last 6 eggs move at all. Today is day 22 for me. So heart breaking to not have a single egg hatch.
