Yes, Really....YMMV...but the poops definitely get much larger as they start producing eggs...they eat more, so bigger poops.

I'm in with 17 Buff Orpingtons and 11 Hoover's Black Sexlinks. Probably not any chance I get all of them to lay first, but with so many, I probably have a good chance of the first egg.
I can play along too. We got 17 day olds 11april.. Some of their faces are gettin more color now and i see more wattles too.yay for eggs soon!. Also.... the pic is of our nest box... should we make dividers? Or do they do ok with one big communal? Which is the more favored usually? Hubby still needs put a kick board on the box to keep the straw in when we put it in there.... maybe in the next weekish? Oh! Straw or pine shavings like the rest of the coop do ya think? I have also seen where people do curtains over nest boxes... should we? The pic was take about mid day if i remember right.

Oh you got a qty of 17 one day old chicks on 4-11...so they hatched on 4-10!No sorry, 17 day old chicks. April 11, 2017. Sorry for my wonky date... been a military family for the last 26 years... :/. I tend to forget sometimes to do my dates and times the "civilian" way.
