April 2022 hatch-a-long (non-Easter, and Easter welcome)

Pics
My shipped eggs are on day 12. I pulled 2 that never started, one more I'm watching and pretty sure it will get pulled at next candle. There is one that I just can't see through (it's an olive egger but the shell is almost like a dark army green). My husband is distracted by the duckling and goslings in the brooder and still hasn't noticed that I have two incubators running in the basement...
Haha sounds a lot like my DH!!!

Congratulations! Can’t wait for an update when you get back later!
Lunch break update…four maybe five. Didn’t want to move momma hen.

So I am setting 180 eggs tomorrow for a hatch date of may 3rd
Saw you started a May Hal! Do you hatch large batches like that often?

This hatch has been my largest
attempt so far. I’m pretty sure I ended up with 64 so about 80% hatch rate. Not amazing but not bad. Some of the eggs I set were kind of old so I’m guessing those were part of it. I’ve got 7 eggs sitting there that haven’t pipped & I expect they’re quitters but I’ll leave them until tomorrow in case they were just in a cool spot.
