That's great about linking it to BYC screen names. Half the time, I don't even know the real names of my BYC friends. (I already put their screen names in my phone. You should have seen the looks I got on Christmas day when my phone rang and my step-mom said, "You got a call from somebody named Nifty Chicken?") But I digress.

Will it be bluetooth compatible, and, and is Debi's avatar going to be the default screen saver, or can we change it?

Yes, it sure will be bluetooth compatible since we need to comply with all the new state regulations that require hand free talking while driving.

Who will be the carrier? Verizon is the only one that works in our neck of the woods, but I know a lot of the others have more generous plans....

ETA: Very cool! I should of said that first before I started worrying about whether or not it would work at my house.
