I think this will open up a whole new can of worms. As a breeder,I work hard to get genetics correct for a breed along with egg color. I can see dishonest people using this to cheat people out of money. This feed could be used to make Marans eggs darker long enough to sell. The buyer thinks they have gotten a great Marans that lay super dark eggs and then a few weeks down the road the feed wears off and you end up with a run of the mill Marans. Same thing with easter eggers. The dishonest person could pass off regular old mixed white egg layers as EE. You take your birds home all excited about your new colorful basket of eggs, and then a few weeks later all you have is a bunch of White eggs. There is a reason people raise certain breeds and many people put a lot of work into improving breeds. This feed just seems like someone is cheating the system and jumping to the finish line without doing any work, in my opinion.
