I hate to rain on your parade but the internet was not designed to be secure. It is not a safe place. Even supposedly secure sites and information are at risk. Nothing is secure. Someone pretending you need to change your username is the least of your worries.

Oh man, don't get me started. You would weep in terror if you know how badly most financial institutions handled your personal information. As someone in the industry, I'm floored constantly by how stupidly businesses who have millions to lose in a breach handle internal and external data and connections. BYC looks impenetrable and the admin staff are hypervigilant by comparison.

I thought/realized it was funny after (which was late last night I was not on top of it yesterday) I learned yesterday was April fools day. I just kept thinking "they got me lol" once I realized that I wanted to go back and change my name to something fun but I missed out. I am glad everyone or most everyone had fun with this post lord knows we need it right now Thank you for the fun diversion!!

I kinda doubt that. You have the same kind of problem I do. Even with a differnt username, you'd still have Isadora shouting "BROOOOOKS!" at you after a smarty-pants response no matter what username you had.

I knew the minute I woke up on April Fools day... my mind immediately went to-"I wonder what prank BYC has today?" Lo and behold, I did no searching. It was right at the top of the page.

To those complaining, please get over it, one practical joke once a year is no big deal.

To those wondering why some are complaining… remember so people use to b.. I mean complain about being hung with a new rope.

Btw. Being hung with a new rope is a good thing if you are about to be hung.. a new rope stretches and you might survive the hanging.

And….

We have a whole generation or two that live their lives on social media, yet complain about this joke and security here.

I don’t always agree with everything done here on BYC, but I think their security is great. I have had breaches from banks, credit card companies, utility companies.and government agencies. But never from BYC..

I believe in handing out “atttaboys” when earned. So @Nifty-Chicken and crew. Attaboy! You pulled off a good one this year.
