Later on the ”full story “…. Actual case was “no-show hearing for spousal assault.”
I never learned *when* he was caught….. it kinda helped ease things up when the dispatcher *knew me IRL* and had the rookie officer ask me if I was (_redacted real world nickname_)….. I had a laugh and asked which dispatcher told him to ask, was it “a” or “b” (they were a couple back then)…. Eventually they believed me…..

The rookie cop realized on the return trip back to campus that I was one of their lab teachers several semesters earlier.
