APRIL FOOLS HATCH, give or take a day.....who's in ??

It is so great to hear you all have hatching babies! I can't wait for Friday! We lockdown tomorrow evening.
My last two hatches have been late hatchers...so I figured my thermometer must be off. Hatched at 99.5-99.7. I bumped it up to 100.4. It's been steady the whole 17 days. I wonder if I should bump it back down for lockdown...What do you all think? It really doesn't sound like a huge change in temp but it doesn't take much.

Thanks everyone for the support...
It is more for my entire class of 2nd graders... I keep trying to tell them is may take longer..
They are now peeping into the incubator to try and make them wake up and get moving!!
Very cute
I really hope we have something happen soon.
I will keep you all posted..
Is is normal for them to move for a day or two before pipping???
Could they NOT be able to get out???
Temp and humidity have been great, unless the incubator is reading things wrong (which I doubt since it is so high tech)

Daniellenoel, it is normal for them to move before hatching. My last hatch, I had an spin 45 degrees! That was probably a day and a half before it actually hatched. I hope they hatch out for all your little students. They will be so excited when it starts to happen. YOu might have to forget the rest of the day

Thanks for the support... makes me feel a lot better
I just keep reading about chicks hatching on day 19 and day 20 and then I started to wonder if there is something wrong with ours.
I will keep everyone posted.....

7 babies now, #7 hatched pretty cute, the cutest , tiniest baby, with spikey hair, super cute.

there are 7 more that have pipped, she's going to be crowded in there soon.

man, they are coming fast and furious now, #8 has almost finished zipping, (haha) and is about the kick off his shell.

the cuteness overload I'm having right now is great. love it.

It is also normal for them to not move! I've never seen an egg move or change position unless it was zipping or kicking out. I think the towels I put in the bator might keep them more stationary.

I also have a VERY LOUD FAN (yes, I'm shouting!

) so I never hear peeping, either. I'm on my own to speculate until the moment they emerge and look at me and cheep, "Mama!"
